Thank you for visiting Dollars For Disciples! The past several months I have been struggling with that fact that I can't help my churches with its financial deficit. We are faced with making major cuts to the staff and youth outreach program to fix this years budget. Now it has become worst, because like other members of our church in Michigan, I have lost my job. Last Sunday I spent sometime after service driving around and asking for God to direct me in my struggle on how to help the church during this rough time. Like a light filling a dark room, I felt God fill my heart with an answer The answer was to use my computer knowledge to reach someone that could help. Share my problem and open myself to others. God was telling me that I can't fix this problem myself, and I needed to bring my concerns out of my mind and into the hearts of others. Through my prayer and the creation of the web page, I have learned that as part of a community we need to take care of others, we need take moments out of our busy lives and communicate with others. Asking someone "How they are doing?" and meaning it. Being interested and pushing for the real answer, not just the "I'm Good" or "I'm Fine". As the person being asked, we should not be worried what others will think of us after we open ourself, just share your feelings/concerns, stopping to answer the questions true to heart. This is why I have created this web page, to share my discovery, open myself to the public and ask for your help. If you are reading this and are relating to similar struggles in your life, contact me or share them with others near you. Please send everyone you know a link to this web page to help spread this message. If you can help my church financial, please send your donations using paypal by clicking the "Donate" button below. If you would like to donate by sending a check or money order, please email me at peace.curlee@yahoo.com so I can send the needed information. I have no idea of Gods plan for me, so creating this site may just be Gods way of reaching somebody who is struggling with opening themself to others, or maybe its a way for me to make new friends and grow as a community in His word, or maybe something so big I can't imagine it at this time. What ever it is .... I do know "A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." (Proverbs 16:9). Please keep the Momentum going by sending this website link to every email address! Thanks. Thank you for investing your time reading and sharing the page. Check back often to see progress and what God has in plan for the direction of this site. |
